Early in her career Rayma successfully argued before the California Supreme Court in an election contest case, Gooch v Hendrix (1993) 5 Cal.4th 266, a case that remains important in the protection of the integrity of absentee ballots today.

Rayma was one of the first women to be inducted into the Central California Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization which is dedicated to upholding the jury system and invites only experienced, competent and reputable attorneys with at least 20 jury trials to become members. She is a member of Consumer Attorneys of California, an organization dedicated to the protection of consumers and the right to a jury trial.

Rayma is admitted to practiced in California and Missouri and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Courts of California and the Western District of Missouri. Rayma was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, graduating from California State University Fresno in 1987 and from the San Joaquin College of Law in 1991.

Life is not entirely about the practice of law. So away from the office, Rayma likes to kayak, work in the yard, collection modern first edition fiction, and read. An animal lover, she is frequently accompanied by her dogs who are sometimes referred to as her office staff. Anyone who spends any time in her office will hear a mix of rock, R&B, jazz, country, new age, classical, blue grass, Motown, and Americana coming from the stereo because she doesn t like to be without music.

Home

About Us

Areas of Practice

Lawyer Profile

Contact Us

Privacy Policy

Copyright © 2010 Church Law Firm
